Magnation! Welcome to my website! For those of you whom have followed me for the past few years, hope everything is well. For those who have recently heard of me, welcome to the Magnation! I am grateful for your support!
For those unfamiliar, my name is Justin Magnaye, an independent singer-songwriter from Beachwood, NJ. You may find me writing songs on a public park bench, or playing Fortnite with some friends, or even going FULL BOYLE for Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero) whilst watching the epic Brooklyn Nine-Nine. But, you’ll definitely find me over in Philadelphia, PA pursuing a degree in Computer Science B.S. Now I know what you’re thinking, “What the hell?! Computer science?” I know, it is most definitely a completely different atmosphere than what others would expect of me, but I want this degree because I do love technology. My plan is to get that degree, have a steady high-paying career and then invest it into what I love most, music. I dream of becoming an independent and famous singer-songwriter one day, and I will achieve that goal in the upcoming future. I’d love to work with my favorite artists of today, such as my inspiration Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Charlie Puth, and KYLE, just to name a few. Reaching the top won’t be just for me, but for the people that I fight for, and those who stand by my side every step of the way. Being the son of my two wonderful parents, Jess and Barb, I was taught to follow my dreams and be humbled by my experiences. Being a Magnaye means that we never settle for anything less than our best. Granted, I have slacked off and lost sight of my future at times, but with the right support and the ability to refocus, I was able to get back on track, even if some people and their experiences tried to derail me.
Having worked on my second album, Closure, I was able to figure out what I wanted from myself, and how I wanted the world to view the music Justin Magnaye put out. There is a certain perspective I want people to acknowledge, and it is because I was never able to see this perspective in my life until recently. That perspective is the other perspective. Being caught in my own emotion, my own selfishness and drowning in doubt, I was never able to see another side but my own. However, working on Closure really helped me see this side, and I can tell you that you will most definitely mature from it, growing into the person you were meant to be.
I want my audience to see this growth in me, and I’m sure that they will relate to many of the quarrels I bring to light, whether it be myself, someone else, or just general conflict. Feel the lyrics, capture the music, and grow from this conflict. That is the mission, and that will be the accomplishment. Thank you for your time. Hope to see you here again!
